About Leap Venture Academy
The Leap Venture Academy connects pet care entrepreneurs with key resources to help foster innovation and development in the rapidly growing pet care industry.
Academy is a series of pre-accelerator, community-building activities for early-stage pet care startups and innovators. Activities include Webinars & Office Hours, Bootcamps, Meetups, and Pet Project Pitch Competitions. Events are held year round, in person and online.

Webinars & Office hours
Navigating the pet care startup ecosystem can be challenging, especially for early-stage companies. Academy Webinars and Office Hours aim to provide founders with necessary insights and resources to succeed in the pet industry.
Academy Webinars are held multiple times a month and cover a wide range of topics. They are facilitated by industry experts and experienced startup founders. From market overviews to female founder roundtables, Leap Academy webinars allow anyone to connect to the pet care startup ecosystem.
Academy Office Hours are hosted monthly by the Leap Ventures partners to listen to your ideas. They are available to provide guidance for promising pet care start ups, but this is not an investment opportunity.
All Events take place online via Zoom.
BootcampS
Academy Bootcamps are multi-day crash courses on everything you need to know for your pet care start-up. Bootcamps are a great networking opportunity for entrepreneurs looking to meet mentors, investors and other startup founders. During the bootcamps, we hold panels that cover important topics like brand development, hiring strategies, investment and much more.

Pet Project Pitch CompetitionS
The Leap Venture Academy’s Pet Project pitch competition series brings the most promising pet care startups to the stage for live contests at the industry’s biggest events.
This is an opportunity for startups to receive equity-free grants and industry exposure all in one place. Academy pitch competitions are right for companies at any stage in their development from idea to repeated revenue.
ELIGIBILITY: Please note, competitions are open to any startup or individual innovating in the pet care market. Startups ranging from idea to revenue, profit to non-profit, are encouraged to apply. You must be willing to attend the pet care event where the competition takes place. Tickets, passes, travel and accommodations are not provided by Leap.
